About Us
Hi, I’m Erika! I have served 12 years in the Australian Army, first starting out as a Parachute Rigger. What’s that, you ask? Essentially, I packed, maintained, and repaired parachutes for the airborne units in the ADF. This role taught me the importance of precision and attention to detail—skills that naturally led me to sewing. I started with pouches and belts, then moved on to bags, and eventually, I turned this passion into something bigger.
In 2019, I completed a fitness leader course and noticed a significant challenge among veterans: a lack of swimming ability. Whether due to their place of birth, mobility issues caused by service injuries, or mental health barriers, many veterans struggle with swimming—a skill essential for survival, fitness and rehabilitation.
That’s how ETX was born. It started with people loving my handmade bags and quickly grew into something more meaningful. Today, ETX is all about supporting veterans and giving back to the community I care so deeply about.
Our Mission:
Every sale directly contributes to swimming lessons for veterans, and we hope in future to the public.
To Date:
- Swim Lessons Donated: 322
- Veterans Helped: 85
These numbers may seem small, but they represent lives changed and progress made. My goal is to grow our swimming program, reaching more veterans and empowering them with confidence, strength, and skills in the water.
By choosing one of our mesh duffle bags, you’re not just purchasing a functional and stylish product—you’re joining a mission to make a real difference in the lives of those who’ve selflessly served our country.
Your support means the world to us. Together, we can make change for our veterans. Thank you for being part of this journey!
